Twelve drivers based at the Renfrewshire site of a haulage company have been made redundant.
A&D logistics informed those at their Linwood base of the job losses following the festive period.
The firm, which also has vehicles based at two other sites in Scotland, made a total of 14 people redundant company-wide between January 3 and 9.
A spokesperson speaking on behalf of the firm told the Gazette: “In common with many companies in the logistics sector A&D Logistics Ltd is experiencing a turbulent market.
"This is made worse by interruptions to shipping movements in the Red Sea.
"This impacts on workloads across the company’s customer base.
"As a direct result of that turbulence our client has had to make a number of employees redundant.
"That process was carried out in person with affected employees and was done so in as respectful a manner as possible.
"All affected employees have received appropriate payments based on their terms and conditions of employment.”
