Police have stopped a number of drivers in Paisley after the community raised concerns about the speed of traffic.
The road policing unit conducted the pop up check in the town today (Thursday, January 4) and stopped four drivers for speeding.
One of the drivers on the road, which is signposted to be a 30mph, was going 50mph before being pulled over.
Three points and a £100 fine for each of the drivers were handed out.

Taking to social media to warn other road users about speeding, police said: "Officers from #GlasgowRP were out at #CanalSt in #Paisley today in response to community concerns regarding speeding.
"Four vehicles detected travelling above the posted 30mph with the highest speed recorded at 50mph.
"Minimum 3 points and £100 fine each."
