A deadline for older people to make sure they can get a £300 cost of living payment is looming.
Sunday, December 10 is the deadline to apply for Pension Credit to then qualify for the extra payment.
Pension Credit tops up income for people over the state pension age, who fall below the minimum income threshold.

It brings income up to a minimum of £201.05 per week for single pensioners and to £306.85 for couples.
If a claim for Pension Credit is successful, then people will also be eligible for the cost of living payment but to qualify the claim must be in before December 10.
Pension Credit is also a gateway to other benefits like housing and council tax benefit.
Advice Direct Scotland is urging people to claim Pension Credit before the deadline.
It can also be backdated for three months.
Conor Forbes, director of policy with Advice Direct Scotland, said: “With the cost-of-living and energy crisis, it’s more important than ever that people who are struggling claim everything they’re entitled to.
“We would urge Scots to check their eligibility for Pension Credit and apply for support.
“Our free and unique online calculator tool is the only one tailored for Scotland and can ensure they are receiving all possible help.”
