A BUSY road in Renfrewshire is set to be hit with traffic management systems throughout December.
It comes after Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, announced that they are undertaking two phases of essential resurfacing works on the A737 from Friday, December 8 until Friday, December 22.
We previously reported that drivers were set to face disruption as the road was supposed to be closed to allow the work to take place, however, now traffic management will be in place instead.
The first phase of the works will take place south of Howwood between Townhead of Risk and Belltrees Road, while the second will take place between Roadhead Roundabout and Clerksbridge Toll Roundabout, south of Lochwinnoch.
The first phase, south of Howwood, will take place between 8pm and 6am each night, from Saturday, December 9 to Wednesday, December 13, with traffic management removed by 6am on Thursday, December 14.
Following that, the second phase between Roadhead Roundabout and Clerksbridge Toll Roundabout will take place between 8pm and 6am each night from Thursday, December 14 to Monday, December 18, with traffic management removed by 6am on Tuesday, December 19.
Signed diversion will be in place.
