Police are hunting thugs who attacked a man with a "metal object" in Paisley.
The 32-year-old victim was struck on the head in County Square at around 7.50pm on Tuesday, December 5.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow, for treatment to his injuries.
Police are treating the incident as a serious assault and working to identify two men in connection with the incident.
The first was on a dark-coloured bicycle and wearing a light grey puffer jacket and dark trousers.
The second was on foot and wearing a black jacket, a luminous yellow polo shirt, and dark jogging bottoms. He had short hair, shaved at the sides.
Detective Constable Lucy Craig said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the disturbance to get in touch.
"We would also be keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area.
"Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 3064 of December 5, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
