Paisley town centre was full of festive cheer on Thursday evening as a month-long programme of festive family fun kicked off.
The event, which has been organised by Renfrewshire Council in partnership with Scotland's Theme Park, is now running until Saturday, December 30, excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
And the first skaters have now taken to the outdoor ice rink in County Square – with local community groups getting the first shot on the ice.
The town's Christmas lights were also turned on as part of the opening night by Provost Lorraine Cameron and Jessica, of St Peter’s Primary School, who won the chance to switch on the lights through the Provost’s annual Christmas Card Competition.
The ice rink and festive outdoor rides in County Square are open at select times Tuesday to Sunday each week.
Tickets can be bought online with discounts available for Renfrewshire residents, students and YoungScot card holders.
There is the chance to win prizes through Paisley First's Golden Ticket competition and Angels and Elves Christmas Trail.
A free programme of creative craft-making, workshops, storytelling and fun activities for all the family is also on offer at the Art Department in Causeyside Street during December.
