A special tree is brightening up the lives of residents at a Bishopton care home this festive season.
A tree of honour was recently lit up during a switch-on event at The Erskine Home.
Veterans, staff, volunteers, families and friends from the local community gathered in the freezing conditions to enjoy the ceremony.
The event featured carol singing led by the Paisley Salvation Army band and a tree dedication by the Reverend Graham Morrison.
This was followed by the lighting of the tree of honour, which was donated by Richard Irvin FM.
The honour of switching on the lights fell to veteran Hillary Hunt, who served with the Navy.
Attendees then headed inside for warm mince pies and mulled wine in the care home's 'bunker' room.
