Renfrew’s Robertson Park was a hub of festive activity on Saturday as the Christmas lights in the town were switched on.
There was fun for all the family with a Christmas market, festive arts and crafts, and funfair rides for the thrillseekers willing to brave the cold.
Santa took a break from his busy schedule to visit the children of Renfrew and hear what they have on their Christmas lists this year.
Renfrew Burgh Band delighted audiences with well-known festive tunes during their annual carol concert, held in the McMaster Centre.
At 5pm, Renfrewshire's Depute Provost Cathy McEwan was joined by competition winner Joyce, from St James Primary, to switch on the town’s Christmas lights for the festive season.
Provost McEwan said: “It was great to see so many people out in Robertson Park this weekend to celebrate the start of the festive season.
“I was delighted to have Joyce to help me switch on the lights this year and I hope she had a great day in the park with her family.”
Christmas in Renfrewshire is only just beginning, with Johnstone's Christmas lights switch-on event due to take place on Saturday, December 2, and a month-long Christmas celebration running in Paisley from Thursday, November 30.
