A new store is set to open at Piazza Shopping Centre in Paisley this weekend.

Leading trainer and sports fashion retailer JD Sports will welcome customers to its new shop from Saturday, November 25.

A DJ will be spinning tunes at the shop this weekend and those who visit can test their speed in the JD Batak game, with one shopper each day winning a £50 JD voucher.

Five new jobs have been created and staff are encouraging local residents to explore the 3,052 square foot space, which is around 20% larger than the retailer's previous store in Paisley Shopping Centre.

The opening comes just in time for Black Friday, with JD offering up to 50% off iconic brands such as Nike, The North Face and Adidas.

James Air, director - head of group acquisitions at JD, said: "JD has been hugely popular in Paisley for many years, and we are delighted to be relocating to a great new store at the entrance of The Piazza Shopping Centre.

"Our new store will deliver the latest JD store environment, and will be notably larger than the old store, allowing us to stock many more of our much-loved brands."

The opening hours for the new store will be 8am to 6pm on Mondays to Saturdays and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
