A CAMPAIGN has been launched to support the recruitment of more adult social care workers.
The new campaign, which has been set up by the Scottish Government and is called "You can make the difference", focuses on the difference someone working in the role can make to people's lives.
On top of that, it also shows the variety of different care roles in adult settings available across the more than 135,000-strong workforce.
Welcoming the campaign, Natalie Don MSP said: “Our adult social care sector does invaluable work that has a hugely positive impact on people’s lives every day.
“To help address the issues care providers are facing in filling vacancies, the Scottish Government has increased pay and believes the National Care Service will help them and their partners to provide consistency in further improved pay and conditions, access to training and development and ensuring a career in social care is attractive and rewarding.
“There are many opportunities to enjoy a fulfilling career in care, and I would encourage people in Renfrewshire to consider the opportunities that exist across the sector. Our social care workforce is of immense value to society and they really do make a difference.”
