A SECOND man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a Renfrew man.
We previously reported that officers raced to Renfield Street in the town at around 3am on Monday, October 30, after receiving a report of an injured man, who was later named Alastair Campbell.
After being found seriously hurt in the common close of nearby flats, the 52-year-old tragically died.
Brian Reilly appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday, November 8, following the incident.
The 35-year-old is accused of murder and attempted robbery.
Reilly, of Renfrew, made no plea.
He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear again within the next eight days.
It comes after 47-year-old James Cook appeared in court last week, also charged with murder and attempted robbery following the death of Alastair.
Cook, of no fixed address, made no plea or declaration.
He was remanded in custody and committed for further examination.
