A MAN has been arrested following the death of a Renfrew man.
We previously reported that officers raced to Renfield Street in the town at around 3am on Monday, October 30, after receiving a report of an injured man, who was later named Alastair Campbell.
After being found seriously injured in the common close of nearby flats, the 52-year-old tragically died.
Yesterday police confirmed they were treating the death as murder.
Now, the force has revealed a 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of Campbell.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of 52-year-old Alastair Campbell in Renfrew.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
