A popular Italian restaurant in Paisley has temporarily closed for a major refurbishment.

Cardosi's, in Storie Street, has been shut since Sunday, October 22, as renovation work got underway.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, a spokesperson for the restaurant issued an update on the refurbishment.

They said: "Cardosi's opened in 2022, and has become a Paisley favourite thanks to our dedicated staff and incredible customers, however, it's time to give the restaurant a new modern, contemporary Italian look so we will be closed from Saturday, October 22, and will re-open for dinner on Thursday, November 2.

"We look forward to seeing you on our return with the new Cardosi's with the same great food and attentive staff."
