Police have been staging extra patrols near playing fields in Renfrew in response to concerns over the misuse of fireworks.
Officers were called to Kirklandneuk Playing Fields at around 7.40pm on Tuesday, October 10, after receiving a report of fireworks being set off in the area.

Local residents also took to social media claiming fireworks were being directed at homes and cars.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “About 7.40pm, on Tuesday, October 10, officers received a report of fireworks being set off in the area of Kirklandneuk Playing Fields, Renfrew.
"The area was given extra attention by officers on patrol."
