A NATURE reserve in Renfrewshire is hosting a programme of events throughout the "spooky season".
The RSPB in Lochwinnoch announced that throughout October for Halloween they will be hosting a selection of events for visitors to enjoy.
These include a pumpkin hunt, bat walks, and a special Halloween scavenger hunt.
On top of that, they are also inviting people to discover "the wonders of autumn" at the reserve - which includes a "Birding for Beginners" event on October 29.
Rob Conn, Visitor Experience Manager for the nature reserve, said, “The onset of autumn is like having a whole new world to explore at Lochwinnoch.
"The woodlands are awash with colour as the leaves change and fungi pop up, while the skies above are full of activity as some birds prepare to leave while a host of new ones arrive for the winter.
“Whether you’re looking for a family day out, hoping to spot that one special bird or just want to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of nature, the reserve has something for everyone.
"Our programme of events has a mixture of self-led and guided activities, while our walking trails, viewing spots and visitor centre mean everyone can connect with nature in their own way.”
