An American retailer has opened in a busy shopping centre for a 'limited time'.

American Candy previously opened at Braehead Shopping Centre in Renfrew in August 2021 but it has since closed.

However, bosses at the centre have revealed that the store has returned and is now open to customers.

While there is no official closing date, they have said that the shop is open for a 'limited time only'.

A spokesperson said: "American Candy is back at Braehead Shopping Centre for a limited time only! Don't miss out on your favourite American treats.

"Discover American Candy in centre; find them on the lower level of Braehead Shopping Centre."

American Candy is the latest in a number of recent new store openings at the shopping centre.

We previously reported that Yankee Candle opened in a larger unit just days after Hi Tea, a bubble tea retailer, was welcomed to the mall.

And earlier this year, Sports Direct opened its new and improved 20,000-square-foot store which combined a number of existing brands to give shoppers a new experience.
