RESIDENTS who receive the school clothing grant are being encouraged to apply for a winter clothing payment.
It comes after Renfrewshire Council announced locals who qualify for the school clothing grant can apply for a £50 winter clothing payment.
However, those who have already applied for a school clothing grant this year do not need to apply again.
Applications must be submitted to the local authority by Friday, October 20.
A spokesperson for the local authority said: "We're paying a £50 Winter Clothing Payment to everyone receiving a school clothing grant.
"If you qualify for a school clothing grant, we encourage you to apply so you can also receive this additional payment."
