AN alleged drink driver has been arrested after failing to stop following a crash in Paisley.

It comes after officers from Glasgow's Roads Policing Unit received reports from members of the public about the incident.

Cops then traced the reported drink driver after the smash and he was arrested. 

A spokesperson for the force said: "Thank you to the members of the public who called yesterday to report a drink driver who failed to stop after an RTC in Paisley.

"One driver was traced and arrested."
