A man has been arrested after reportedly being found in possession of a machete in Renfrew.
Police on patrol stopped the 40-year-old man in Orchard Street at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, September 5, following a tip-off from a member of the public.
After searching the man, police are said to have found he was in possession of a large machete.

The suspect was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a knife.
He was held in custody pending an appearance at Paisley Sheriff Court.
