An elderly man has died after being hit by a car in Renfrew.
We previously reported how emergency services were called to Cambridge Road at around 8am on Tuesday, September 5.
The incident involved a blue Ford Focus and an 81-year-old pedestrian, who was rushed by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow.
Police said the man later died from his injuries.
The road was closed for around six hours to allow collision investigation to be carried out.
Road Policing Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to contact us as your information could be vital.
"I would also ask anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage that could help with our investigation to get in touch."
Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0607 of Tuesday, September 5.
