A MAN has been rushed to hospital after he was found "seriously injured" on a street in Paisley. 

Emergency services were called to Jarvie Way at around 7.40pm yesterday evening following a report of a man being found injured. 

The 35-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. 

He was released following treatment. 

Cops confirmed a 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. 

He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court tomorrow.

An investigation into the indecent remains ongoing and police are appealing for anyone with information or CCTV footage to come forward. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.40pm on Monday, September 4, 2023, we received a report of a man having been found seriously injured on Jarvie Way in Paisley. 

"Emergency services attended. The 35-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and released following treatment.

"A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He’s due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday, September 6.

"Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information or CCTV footage should call 101 quoting incident 3844 of September 4."
