Two men have been arrested after police recovered hundreds of pounds worth of drugs from a Paisley flat.

Officers armed with a search warrant swooped on the property in Broomlands Street on Friday, September 1.

During the raid, drugs believed to be 28.5g of heroin and 8.9g of cocaine were recovered, with a total estimated street value of £1,000.

Police said two men, aged 38 and 39, had been arrested in connection with the drugs recovery and enquiries are ongoing.

Inspector Lorna McLaren, of the community policing team, said: "We are working to tackle drugs crime in Renfrewshire. 

"Officers are out in the community every day to identify those supplying drugs in the area and support from the public is vital. 

"We would encourage people to continue to engage with us and pass on any relevant information.
