TRIBUTES have poured in after a man who died in a flat fire in Paisley has been named locally.
Russell Hendren tragically lost his life following a blaze that ripped through a property on Lang Street in the town on Friday, August 18.
The area was taped off and several roads were closed while emergency services crews worked to battle the blaze.
Now, devasted loved ones have taken to social media to pay tribute to the much-loved man.
One said: “Another good friend left us too early, RIP Russel Hendren, aka Ses. You were the best pal I could ever have.”
Another said: “Heartbreaking. RIP Russell Hendren. Lost another Seedhill legend. Cracking mate and decent big guy in general.”
Following the incident, cops have now confirmed that the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5pm on Friday, August 18, 2023, we were called to a report of a fire at a flat on Lang Street, Paisley.
"Emergency services attended, and the body of a man was found within.
“The fire does not appear to be suspicious."
