EMERGENCY service crews are currently battling a blaze in Lochwinnoch as residents are being asked to avoid the area.
Cops were reported to the incident on Speirs Road in the village at around 3.25pm this afternoon (Thursday, August 17).
In total, four fire vehicles are currently on the scene dealing with the blaze.
It is understood there are no reported casualties.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers are assisting SFRS with a fire on Speirs Road, Lochwinnoch, which was reported to us around 3.25pm today (Thursday, 17 August).
“The public is asked to avoid the area to allow emergency services access to deal with the incident.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 3.06pm on Thursday, 17 August to reports of a dwelling fire on Spiers Road, Lochwinnoch.
"Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene where firefighters are continuing to extinguish the fire.
"There are no reported casualties."
