Youngsters at a Bishopton nursery were flying high during a launch event for a new children's book.
We previously reported how Rosie Elliot has penned 'Cairellot the Caterpillar,' whose title character meets new friends at nursery and grows into a beautiful butterfly before flying off to school.
The 72-year-old, who is the co-founder of Cairellot Nursery, described the book launch on Friday, August 11, as "lovely".
Rosie told The Gazette: "My family were all there and they had set up a lovely big toadstool that sat on to read to all the children.
"The children loved it and were absolutely engrossed.
"The party lasted all day and I signed some books as well."
During the event, the nursery was decorated with colourful balloons and a 'caterpillar garland'.
Attendees were also able to enjoy a range of tasty snacks, such as ice cream, ice lollies and sandwiches, as well as refreshments.
Rosie's son Martin, who also owns Cairellot Nursery, said they had received "excellent feedback" about Cairellot the Caterpillar.
He added: "The pictures we've been getting of parents telling the story to their children are fantastic."
The paperback edition of the book is priced at £7.99 and can be ordered online at amzn.eu/d/7Q8Pk1f.
