A MAN who was seriously injured during an incident in Paisley has died in hospital.
Robert Fisher, 26, lost his fight for life this afternoon following a disturbance in the Maxwellton Street area of town at around 5.30pm on Sunday, July 23.
Two men, aged 24 and 25, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, July 25.
The pair, who are both from Paisley, made no plea during their appearances.
Police Scotland confirmed that Mr Fisher, also from Paisley, has died.
A spokesperson said: "A 26-year-old man has died in hospital following an incident in the Maxwellton Street area of Paisley.
"The man can be named as Robert Fisher, from Paisley. He was seriously injured in an incident around 5.30pm on Sunday, July 23. He died in hospital early during the afternoon of Thursday, July 27."
