A special event has taken place at a Linwood pub in memory of a much-loved customer.
The Billy Welsh Memorial Night recently took place at The Clippens Inn to raise funds for St Vincent's Hospice, in Howwood, which cared for Billy during his final days.
The event was organised by Derek 'Del' Whittington in memory of his best friend, who died on July 11, 2022, after being diagnosed with cancer three months previously.
Jackie Gilmour, co-owner of The Clippens Inn, told The Gazette: "We advertised the event on Facebook and the response was amazing, with many local business contributing to a raffle and donating items to be auctioned."

Among the prizes donated were signed Rangers and Celtic tops, a guitar signed by bands Secret Affair and The Specials and a four-ball game of golf at the Gleneagles Hotel.
Former Rangers star Ally McCoist also donated a meal for two at Ibrox Stadium.
More than £8,000 was raised for St Vincent's Hospice at the event, with The Clippens Inn to donate an additional £1,000 to Paisley-based Accord Hospice in memory of Del's mum, who passed away last year.
