AN update has been provided after a 10-year-old schoolboy was hit by a car in Paisley.
We previously reported that emergency crews were called to Lochfield Road, at Todholm Primary School shortly before 9am this morning.
Providing an update on the youngster's condition, Renfrewshire Council have said he suffered an ankle injury following the incident.
In a statement, they said: “A 10-year-old pupil at Todholm Primary School was involved in a collision with a vehicle on Lochfield Road this morning resulting in an ankle injury.
“Emergency services attended the scene, and the pupil was taken to hospital for further treatment.
“School staff wish the pupil a speedy recovery.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 08:47 to attend an incident on Lochfield Road, Paisley.
"Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to South Glasgow Children’s Hospital.”
