Police are hunting two men who were wearing hi-vis trousers during an assault in Kilmacolm.
The attack took place in Lochwinnoch Road at around 8.50pm on Wednesday, June 14.
A man was taken to hospital for treatment and was later released.
The first suspect is described as 5ft 8ins tall with short blonde hair.
His accomplice is said to be 6ft 3ins tall with long tied-up blonde hair.
At the time, both suspects were wearing hi-vis trousers and a tool belt.

Police said the two men were seen fleeing the scene in a red van following the assault.
Detective Constable Laura Sokolov added: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone in the area at the time who may have witnessed this to come forward.
"Anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage which may assist officers is also asked to contact officers."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 4463 of June 14.
