ONE of the biggest events in a Renfrewshire's village social calendar takes place this Saturday.
The 51st Bishopton Day will be held at Holmpark Sports Ground, with a parade of floats led by St Columba's Pipe Band to leave from Bishopton Primary, in Old Greenock Road, at noon.
The parade will travel along Stuart Road, down Kingston Road and arrive outside the field in Greenock Road at around 12.30pm.
Residents will be able to enjoy entertainment, hosted by Pulse Radio, from the main stage in Holmpark Sports Ground all afternoon.

There will also be a variety of stalls to browse, with local produce available from the Renfrewshire Farmers Market.
Additional attractions this year include a circus skills workshop and Renfrewshire Library’s Skoobmobile.
Entry costs £2.50, with free admission for those aged under 16.
