Thousands of people had an out-of-this-world experience at Bridge of Weir's annual gala day as the event adopted a space theme.
People of all ages took to the streets to enjoy Saturday's festivities, with children dressing up as astronauts, aliens and other colourful characters.
St Columba's School Pipe Band led the parade to Houston Road Park, with the Port Glasgow Boy's Brigade marching band also taking part.
Activities including face painting, bouncy castles and a variety of games were able to keep everyone entertained.
Bargain hunters were able to browse through a wide variety of stalls, while there was plenty of tasty food on offer, such as cakes, burgers, doughnuts, ice cream and candy floss.
There was also a DJ spinning tunes throughout the day and a falconer also showing off birds of prey.
Richard Smith, chairman of Bridge of Weir Gala Day committee, described the event as "an absolutely fabulous day."
He told The Gazette: "The atmosphere was really good and the weather was perfect.
"We had a good gala day last year but it was a complete washout, whereas on Saturday it was glorious from beginning to end.
"It was great to see the village coming together and it was a real community event, with people having the opportunity to see other villagers they wouldn't normally see."
