Pupils at a Renfrew school have been learning about the importance of looking after their health.
Arkleston Primary hosted a range of fun activities on Friday based on the themes of staying active and eating nutritious meals.
The children took part in different types of exercise, such as playing football and rounders, as well as taking part in orienteering and yoga sessions.
Youngsters also learned how to monitor their own heart rates and were able to decorate plates to explore what food and drinks make up a healthy diet.
Primary one teacher Hannah Lister helped organise the school's latest 'Sparky Arky' event, which involves pupils moving around classrooms for different learning activities.
She told The Gazette: "It was a fantastic day of vertical learning, with children from primary one to primary seven enjoying the same immersive experience.
"We had lots of community teams from organisations such as St Mirren and Rangers who gave up their time to visit the school and build links with the Renfrew community, which was excellent.
"The weather couldn't have been better for us, it was an absolutely perfect day to have that kind of event.
"We got excellent feedback about the day, with the parents being so pleased with how it went and all the teachers involved were really positive about it as well.
"You could see the benefit it had on the children, as they were buzzing afterwards."
