Police are appealing for information following a serious assault in Paisley.
A 68-year-old man suffered injuries to his face in the Braehead Road area between 5pm and 5.30pm on Monday, May 15.
The victim was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, for treatment.
Police said they were keen to speak with two people who they believe may be able to help with their enquiries.
Detective Constable Laura Sokolov said: "Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch. This area has lots of shops and would have been busy at the time.
"We are keen to talk to two people who may be able to help with our enquiries. In particular, a white male aged in his 20s, 6ft tall with short brown hair.
"We are also looking to trace a female described as around 30 years old with black shoulder length hair. She was with a child."
Anyone who witnessed this assault or has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 2918 of May 15.
