A Renfrewshire councillor is "proudly" backing events taking place across his ward to celebrate the King's Coronation.
David McGonigle, who represents Houston, Crosslee and Linwood, has said he was "extremely happy" to highlight what local communities are doing to mark the occasion.
As part of the celebrations, Linwood Community Council will ensure that every primary and nursery pupil in the town receives a free commemorative coin.
A coronation-themed 'big lunch' event will also take place at Linwood Welfare and Recreational Social Club, in Napier Street, on Sunday, May 7, from 1pm to 5pm.

Elsewhere, a cake competition open to people of all ages is being held in Houston.
The judging event will take place at the River Inn, in Houston Road, on Sunday, May 7, starting at 2pm.
Mr McGonigle told The Gazette: "I am proud to be backing these community-led events throughout my ward to mark King Charles' upcoming coronation.
"I am extremely happy to spread the word and encourage everyone to get involved in them – whether that is in Linwood's coronation lunch or Houston's cake competition.
"It is also incredible that every primary and nursery pupil will be given a coin to mark the coronation thanks to the community council.
"These events will showcase the community spirit in my ward at its very best and will be fit for His Majesty.
"I cannot wait to take part and only hope the sun is shining that weekend, which would be the icing on the cake."
