A bomb disposal unit was sent to a Renfrew street after the alarm was raised over an item discovered in the area.
Emergency services were called to Muir Street at around 12.35pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Following examination by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, it was established that the item posed no threat to the public.

It is understood that some local residents were asked to temporarily evacuate their homes during the incident.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Muir Street, Renfrew around 12.35pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 after an item was discovered.
"Explosive Ordnance Disposal attended and confirmed the item was not viable.
"There was no risk to the wider community."
