Drivers in Renfrewshire are being warned to expect delays as essential inspections start at the White Cart Viaduct on the M8 motorway.
The project, which is taking place between Junction 27 (Arkleston) and Junction 28 (Glasgow Airport), will lead to temporary closures.
Work will get underway on Saturday, March 18 and is scheduled for completion on Friday, March 24, with disruption expected between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
The project will take place in two phases and the signed diversions will be in place.
These inspections will benefit around 51,000 vehicles using this route each day, by informing future maintenance work at this location to improve the condition of the structure and its carriageway.
A spokesperson for infrastructure support service provider Amey said: "We thank road users for their patience and co-operation while this essential work takes place."
All work is weather dependent.
