The owners of a popular nail salon in Renfrewshire have been congratulated by a local politician after winning a prestigious award.
Beauty salon Boutique 71, based in Lochwinnoch's High Street, was crowned Best Nail Salon at the Scottish Business Awards 2022.
Renfrewshire South MSP Tom Arthur recently visited the salon to met with owners Ali and Beth Davies to offer his congratulations.
He told The Gazette: "It is great to see another local business commended at a national level.
"The past few years have been a hard slog for small businesses everywhere, but particularly those operating from our towns and villages whose high streets have seen a significant drop in footfall both during and after the pandemic.
"I was thoroughly impressed by Ali and Beth's passion for providing a local service to the people of Lochwinnoch and beyond.
"They are a true inspiration to would-be entrepreneurs in the area and a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work, determination and some top-rate customer service.
"I have no doubt that it won’t be long until this multi award winning enterprise has some more trophies to add to their collection."
