A yellow weather warning has been issued for Renfrewshire.
The MET Office is warning people in central Scotland including the local authority, that heavy rain near the end of the week could bring flooding and travel disruption.
The alert is in place from midnight until 2pm on Friday, as forecasters are predicting rainfall until 4pm.
As a result, flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and road closures.
Buildings may also be flooded while train and bus services could be disrupted due to the weather.
Elsewhere in Scotland, there are also warnings in place. In the Dumfries area, an amber warning for rain is in place.
In the North of the country, ice and snow are expected.
