A POPULAR leisure destination in Renfrew is hosting a Christmas pop-up performance at the weekend.
The Tron Theatre Company is returning to XSite Braehead with an adventure tale called 'Merry – A Festive Suitcase Story', which sees the eponymous Merry set out on a mission to track down and capture the Christmas spirit.
Writer and performer Sarah Miele's story is a special festive version of the Tron Theatre's 'Suitcase Stories', which are free pop-up theatre experiences that take place in unique spaces across Glasgow from stairwells to garden paths.
Rosalind Gibson, marketing manager at XSite Braehead, said: "Suitcase Stories is a great way to bring the thrill of live performance to people in surprising spaces.
"When we invited the Tron Theatre Company to perform at XSite last year our customers absolutely loved it. We had to bring them back in for another storytelling show this year.
"This is a perfect Christmas activity for all the family, and it's free of charge.
"I'm looking forward to watching the performance again, and with it being the last weekend before Christmas, there will be a brilliant atmosphere around the centre."
The Tron Theatre pop-up will be set up on the ground floor of XSite Braehead, located next to Ellis Brigham.
Merry – A Festive Suitcase Story will be experienced through audio headsets - provided for free by the Tron Theatre Company, working alongside The Audio Story Company.
Every show will run for 15 to 20 minutes on Saturday and Sunday, with performances starting at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm each day.
