A popular attraction at Braehead has closed 'until further notice'.

Bosses at XSite confirmed that the winter sports site Snow Factor closed on Tuesday due to "ongoing legal proceedings".

No further details about the decision were given.

In a statement issued after the closure, XSite staff assured visitors that they can still enjoy their range of shops, restaurants and other leisure facilities. 

Meanwhile, customers who have already made bookings for Snow Factor are advised to contact XSite by email or telephone for more information. 

A statement from the firm reads: “Following ongoing legal proceedings and a subsequent court order, Snow Factor at XSite Braehead will be closed from today until further notice. 

"Any enquiries about existing bookings should be directed to customercare@snowfactor.com or 0141 885 7000. 

"Customers can continue to enjoy everything else that XSite has to offer, including fantastic shops, restaurants and leisure, such as Gravity, Odeon, Climbzone, Paradise Island Adventure Golf, TGI Fridays, Five Guys and many more.”
