A NUMBER of memorial events will be held across Renfrewshire to mark Remembrance Sunday.
People of all ages are expected to turn out to pay their respects to the fallen as parades take place in local towns and villages.
The first of the November 13 parades will get underway in Elderslie at 9.45am, with a similar event in Houston at 10am.
A start time of 10.45am has been arranged for parades in Kilbarchan, Paisley, Lochwinnoch and Johnstone, while Renfrew's will begin at 10.50am.
There will also be parades in Howwood at noon and Bridge of Weir at 3pm.
In addition, two minutes of silence will be observed at 11am.
“It is important we continue to remember the sacrifices that members of the Armed Forces have made for us," said Renfrewshire Provost Lorraine Cameron.
“Renfrewshire has a proud military tradition and these services of commemoration are a chance to recognise those who have done so much to shape past, present and future generations.
“I would encourage everyone to come along to any of the services in Renfrewshire and pay your respects.”
