A CEILIDH at Inchinnan Community and Social Club raised thousands of pounds for a worthy cause.
It was the third charity event organised by the McHart Ceilidh Band, which consists of accordionist Craig Hart and drummer David McCallum.
A total of £5,000 was coined in for Diabetes Scotland on the night.
Craig said: “We had a full dance floor from start to finish and every raffle ticket we had was sold.
“Everyone was in high spirits and I think there were around 130 people at the event.
“We smashed our fundraising target and, as I’m Type-1 diabetic, it meant a great deal to me that we were able raise so much money.”
The musical duo previously raised funds for St Vincent’s Hospice and Epilepsy Scotland by hosting ceilidh nights before the coronavirus pandemic.
Craig said: “Our close friend Greg Brown helps out with organising the events, along with our partners, who assist us on the day.
“Fiona Stewart, of Diabetes Scotland, also provided us with a lot of decorations for the hall.
“The Grand Old Opry, in Glasgow, gave us a cheque for £1,000, which really helped to boost this year’s fundraising total.”
