Detectives in Renfrewshire are appealing for witnesses following reports of properties on fire in Brookfield, Johnstone.
Around 7.20pm on Friday, 6 May, 2022, police and emergency services were called to two properties on fire at Merchiston Oval.
Scottish Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire, which is being treated as wilful.
No-one was injured as a result of the fires, however, approximately £500,000 worth of damage has been caused.
Officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
Detective Sergeant Karen Boyd, of Paisley CID, said: “Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around that time is urged to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 3242 of 6 May.
“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 111 555, where anonymity can be maintained.”
