ELDERLY residents from a Johnstone care home were delighted to net a guided tour of Ibrox Stadium.
Activities co-ordinators at Ranfurly Care Home organised the fun trip, which included a close-up look at the dressing rooms, trophy room and Old Manager's Room.
The guests were also able to learn more about the history of Rangers FC, including the most memorable moments of the club’s proud past.
Sharon Kerr, activities co-ordinator at Ranfurly Care Home, told The Gazette: "Football has been a big part of our residents’ lives. Many enjoyed playing football when they were younger, so having the opportunity to visit this iconic stadium has been a real treat."
The care home offers nursing, dementia, palliative and respite care, with a particular expertise in assisting residents with specific medical needs through a team of highly-skilled registered nurses.
Margaret Rooney, home manager at Ranfurly Care Home, said: "Our residents have been having so much fun with activities away from the home.
"We have worked relentlessly to keep residents engaged throughout the pandemic, but nothing replaces the opportunity to visit new and exciting places.
"Being able to explore the world again has been energising, and the residents and staff are already planning their next outing."
