Police are hunting two thugs who attacked a man and threatened him with a knife as they tried to steal his mobile phone.
The incident, which is being treated as an assault with intent to rob, took place in Paisley in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Detectives said the 35-year-old victim was outside his flat in Saucel Crescent at around 2.30am when he was approached by two strangers.

“It is vital we trace the individuals involved and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Saucel Crescent in the early hours of Sunday morning to please get in touch.
“I would also urge any motorists with dash-cams who were travelling through at the time to check their footage in case they have captured the suspects or anything else which could be significant.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 1123 of Sunday, October 31. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
