Instagram, Whatsapp and Facebook all appear to be experiencing issues on Monday afternoon as users report problems with loading.
Tracking website Downdetector recorded a sharp spike in users reporting that they were having problems using all three apps shortly after 4pm on Monday.
On all three platforms, the main issues being recorded are with refreshing and loading the sites.
A message is appearing on some people's Instagram saying "Couldn't refresh feed".
Meanwhile, one Downdetector user posted that "Facebook and WhatsApp all down" while another said "I can't even access the facebook website".
Whatsapp messages do not seem to be sending.
People have taken to Twitter to report the problem, with one user tweeting: "Facebook and Instagram servers are down!!, website can’t be reach @Facebook @instagram #Facebook #instagram".

Downdetector users across the UK are reporting problems, but it seems that the issues reach worldwide.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg owns all three apps, however the company is yet to comment on the outage.
