A TEENAGE girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Renfrewshire.
Police closed off Arkleston Road in Paisley following the incident, that involved a 16-year-old, on Friday, October 1 at around 1pm.
Officers say the driver of the Audi A3 stopped at the scene and an investigation has been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Around 1.20pm on Friday, 1 October, officers were called to a report of a pedestrian struck by an Audi A3 on Arkleston Road, Paisley.
“Officers attended and the 16-year-old girl was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“Police enquiries are continuing."
