A MAN has been arrested after an alleged robbery bid in Renfrewshire.
The 41-year-old suspect reportedly approached a 49-year-old man in Broomlea Crescent, Inchinnan, at around 7.15pm on Thursday.
Police said he threatened the older man with a bladed weapon and demanded money.
However, it is claimed this was unsuccessful and he fled the scene empty-handed.
The suspect was soon taken into custody by officers after being traced nearby and has been charged with assault with intent to rob.
Police said the older man was uninjured but left shaken by the incident.
The suspect is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
