THE SNP administration has won its battle to pass its budget in Renfrewshire after a heated council meeting today.
It means plans to invest £29m in schools in the area and raise council tax by 4.79 per cent are set to be implemented.
The administration had faced a fight to pass their budget after the opposition Labour group introduced their own proposals for Renfrewshire.

However, these plans were dumped when councillors voted by 21 to 19 to pass the administration's original plans.
