JAMIE Mckim stressed he was absolutely committed to Johnstone Burgh despite speculation linking him to rivals Neilston.
The Burgh boss was one of the names touted for the vacant role when it came up in November before Derek Carson and Chris Cameron took control of the Championship side.
And McKim, who has overseen an upturn in League Two Burgh’s fortunes in just under a year in charge, was keen to put the record straight amid talk he had applied for the role.

He said: “I have never applied for any other role and I am completely committed to Johnstone Burgh.
“I’ve been getting a bit of grief that I applied for the role, but I absolutely did not.
“I don’t want to go anywhere anytime soon. I’ve put so much into this job and want to see the project through.

“The committee and the club have been absolutely brilliant with me and I don’t want to go anywhere else.”
Meanwhile, the Burgh lost 3-1 away to Thorniewood United on Saturday.
